Unisto designs and manufactures sealing tags to assist with the management of Outsourced Manufacture Quality Assurance Systems.

Our Large Oval Ticket Seals are the most popular of our swing ticket and tags. Available in a wide variety of colours with either aluminium or plastic bodies and fitted with white cardboard inserts that can be written on. These discs can be printed with logo or formatted to suit your needs.  

The tagging system uses small plastic arrow tags which are attached to the product by means of a pneumatic gun. It is ideal for use on pork, poultry and red meat. The tags are pre printed with brand and other marketing information but vital batch numbers, production or use by dates can be printed on at the time of application. The applicator guns are easy to use and only require a 6 bar compressed air supply in order to operate.

Variable length security seals are commonly known as "pull tight seals". This offers an instruction to the user, as a loose pull tight seal provides the opportunity of tampering to the dishonest employee. Pull tight security seals should be used on applications that do not flex excessively in transit or if they do, the tension exerted is insufficient to break the seal. Choice of material is important too depending upon your application.

Recommended uses for pull tight seals: sacks, bags, cages (including roll cages), tote boxes, polling bins, IBCs, valve cabinets, ATM cassettes, pouches, first aid kits, fire extinguishers. Generally pull tight security seals should not be used on vehicle roller-shutter or barn doors as the continuous flex when the vehicle is in motion will cause a seal under tension to break.

Unisto's fixed length security seals can be used on a variety of applications and are expertly manufactured. This type of single use plastic security seal is highly tamper resistant.

A fixed length security seal is perfect for most transport applications; truck, trailers etc, where a security seal under tension on a roller shutter or barn door latch would break due to the flexing of the rear doors in transit.

One of the most important security features of a fixed length seal is that the built in weak point is situated outside the locking mechanism housing but close enough to prevent pliers being used on the strap or ribbon to prise the seal open. Another important feature is some free movement of the seal inside the housing, which demonstrates it has not been tampered and glued back in place.

Unisto's metal clip seals are used for their durability and reliability, securely sealing in conjunction with either sealing wire or even simply with string. Push-fit seals and closures are generally used to secure tote boxes and drum spring clamps. Unisto offer a number of push-fit products designed to close a wide range of such applications (a few of the products can be seen below).

Barrier security seals prevent opportunistic theft and are ideal to be used when a container of high value goods is left unattended for a period of time.

To break the security seal requires cutters or snips so the thief will need to go pre-prepared.

The best barrier security seals on the market also have some additional tamper evident features as strength alone is not sufficient.

The most common use for barrier security seals is intermodal or sea containers, sealing duty free trolleys on airlines or tobacco, liquor or ICT transport.

Single use security seals requiring a specialist tool to seal. IBC's come in a variety of sizes and types, transporting many different types of goods such as powder, some food products, soap and glue.

Unisto have two seals which are ideal for the sealing of these containers, the Medio and the Compact seals. Both have a high security level, thin diameter ribbon and variable length. The high security level is indicative of the advanced tamper evident features of both seals, and upto 24kg break strength means these seals will withstand bumps and knocks in transit. Thin ribbon diameter makes them suitable for the small eyelet size available on most IBC's.

Unisto have many years experience in the design, manufacture and supply of meter seals for a variety of meter sealing purposes worldwide.

Gas and electricity companies use security seals in order to prevent tampering of the meters and therefore illegal extraction or, in the case of water suppliers, contamination.

Unisto offer two emergency exit sealing solutions; one designed for public areas, one for staff areas.

Both solutions provide tamper evidence with a trackable access log system, with different levels of security depending on the application needed. 

The emergency exit padlock and sleeve is most suitable for staff areas, as it adds strength and security, and with the permanently embedded key it is still able to be opened fast in an emergency. The emergency seal and sash (pictured) was developed for public areas and is a perfect solution for push bar fire door systems.
