Suspended Access Systems Limited, as a small family owned business, has been specializing in the maintenance and refurbishment of existing permanent access installations for over 25 years. In that time our area of expertise has expanded to include the installation and testing of safety wire systems, window cleaners eyebolts and dedicated abseil attachment points; selected design, manufacture and installation of new permanent access installations, and site specific demonstration to, and assessment of, cradle users.

As a member of SAEMA (Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association) the company has held the position of both Chairman and Technical Chairman ensuring that we are up-to-date with the latest legislation and trends in the market place.
Designed in accordance with BS EN 1808, we offer an installation service to suit new and existing properties. Aimed at the smaller end of the market, we restrict our activities to providing systems that we consider viable both in terms of cost and practicality.

Whether the works forms part of a planned maintenance regime, LG3 examinations in association the Insurance Inspector, planned repairs or attending emergency breakdowns Suspended Access Systems Limited can provide the full spectrum of cover. We maintain a range of spare parts to cater for the most common type of breakdown to ensure that your equipment is up and running in the shortest possible time.
Where requested, our contract can include for 24 hr emergency call out cover, for 364 days a year (Christmas Day not covered).
Our site specific demonstration of permanent access equipment, together with a competency test, forms an essential part of the cradle operatives training. Based on BS 8454:2000 (Code of practice for the delivery of training and education for works at height and rescue) our demonstrations are tailored to suit the clients' requirements and include a written test to determine whether a Certificate of Competency is issued.
As one of the original approved installers for Latchways plc, the provision of safety wire systems and their on going servicing has been a fast growing area of our business. We offer a full installation service, including any design requirements for support posts or brackets to support the wire systems, and a consultancy service for new projects.
All our engineers are Latchways trained and certificated, enabling safety wire examinations to be carried out where appropriate in conjunction with cradle maintenance activities, thereby reducing costs.
We supply and install Window cleaners safety eyebolts and abseil points to suit Client requirements and in accordance with the relevant standard. We also carry out the ongoing six month examination and testing of abseil points and annual test of window cleaners eyebolts.
We can offer both fixed and free standing handrailing to suit the Clients requirements, together with advice on proposed layouts on new projects and existing buildings.
To compliment our range of access equipment, we also design and install fixed access equipment such as walkways, gantries and ladders.
