The Alverton

Recently refurbished, our classic-contemporary Bar & Brasserie offers a relaxing haven for guests and visitors to enjoy a wide range of British favourites cooked expertly - and many with a unique Alverton twist! Overlooking the garden and terrace, it is flooded with light during the day, whilst in the evening you can enjoy a more intimate dining experience enhanced by soft lamplight.

Food is our forte at Alverton - from our award winning breakfast of fruit, juices and cereals such as homemade granola, to the full works cooked to order including sumptuous Cornish sausages, smoked haddock and pancakes drizzled in maple syrup. During the day, grab Lunch in the Brasserie or a Light Bite in the bar, or why not sample our famous Afternoon Tea with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and scrumptious cakes. On Sunday tuck into a traditional roast for all the family.

Weddings at The Alverton are simply stunning. From the sun-filled terrace and the manicured grounds to the beautiful and dramatic stone exterior and the hidden paths, doorways, lush lawns and trailing ivy: Alverton offers a real escape to a beautiful secret garden wedding venue.

Enjoy champagne on the terrace overlooking the grounds or stroll hand in hand through the woodland, enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. The piece de resistance and show-stopper that makes Alverton weddings so special is the Great Hall. Built by John Loughborough Pearson, who also built Truro Cathedral, the Great Hall is perfect to add a little drama to your big day. Cornish stone pillars, marble staging and a grand piano are all incredible features with a rich colour scheme and a sense of utter grandeur.
