What's the difference between 'Quick Quote' and 'Initiate an RFQ'? Quick Quote is great for when you have an urgent requirement that you want a quote for. If you're starting from a company profile or product page on Applegate, the request will just go to this company. If you click the button on a general service page, Applegate's Support Team will suggest up to 10 companies to respond to your request.
'Initiate an RFQ' allows you raise a more structured quotation request that requires a more detailed response from the supplier. You can choose up to 10 suppliers from your favourites to receive the request and, again, you'll also have the opportunity to ask Applegate's Support Team to suggest suppliers that fit well with your requirement.
What's the procedure if I 'Allow Applegate to suggest' suppliers for my RFQ?As soon as the quotation request is saved to our database, a member of Applegate's seven-strong Support Team will be tasked to analyse the requirement and identify the required number of suitable suppliers from the thousands of companies on the Applegate Supplier Network.
We aim to complete each sourcing assignment with one working day and, when complete, the system will email suggested suppliers and alert you that your invitation list has been updated.
The maximum number of suppliers that will ever be invited to respond to an RFQ is 12.
As with all Buyer Tools provisions, this service is completely free of charge.
