  1. Introducing our Placement Student
    28 September 2023

Karen is in her 4th Year studying Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast and is spending the year with ourselves working on a variety of Chemical Process Improvement and Engineering Projects.

Karen expressed how her journey working at Precision Processing has been, “The role was advertised to me via the careers department in the school of chemistry and chemical engineering. I applied for the role because I felt that the role would be interesting and challenging and would provide me with a wealth of experience relevant to my degree. After applying for the role I completed an intense interview with Julian and Chris from Precision Processing before being invited down to get a tour of the plant and operations. I was delighted when I was offered the role. I have been working here at Precision Processing since the beginning of August 2022 and will be here for the full year.

There are many things I have enjoyed so far, it has given me the opportunity to receive targeted learning which is practical to my degree. Being able to learn whilst in a working environment was incredibly important to me especially after my university experience was so adversely affected by the pandemic. I have found Precision Processing is the perfect place to do this since a new challenge is presented almost every day.

I look forward to learning more during my time here and I believe it will set me up for a very successful final university year completing my Masters.”

From everyone at Precision welcome to the team and it is great to have you on board

  2. New Pyrolysis Oven Commissioning
    28 September 2023

Recognising the growing need for specialised services, Precision Processing have successfully utilised our recently commissioned Pyrolysis Ovens to clean components for two very different customers.

The first job was the removal of carbon black from process fluid equipment used in the manufacture of Graphene powders.
The second job was the removal of EAA and EMAA polymers (such as Nucrel ®) from extrusion equipment used in the manufacture of co-extruded polymer sheet.

The resulting happy customers show the versatility enabled by this equipment, and the expertise of PPSL to accommodate our customers needs.

  5. PPSL (Precision Processing Services Ltd)
    27 August 2020

PPSL are still open and still operating through the current COVID-19 outbreak.

We service a wide range of industries, but the most important customers right now are those in the Food, Pharma and Medical Device sectors. We will to continue to operate for as long as we can in the current climate to offer the best service to these important industries.

We have taken measures to protect our workforce, whilst still allowing PPSL to maintain full processing capability. However, as with all changes to processing, this has increased some of our lead times.

We wish everyone out there safe processing.
