As Ground Source Heat Pumps become used more often for large scale heating projects, so the need for new ancillary support systems is also required. Jtech Services were involved in one such application at a couple of projects in West London recently. A heavy duty support structure was required not only to hold the new water tank in place over the heat pump, but to allow greater access for the pipework installation. In times past a timber structure might have been put together locally and made do with. However, the installer on these projects wanted to offer something that would not only look good for years to come but would also allow for the flow and return pipework to be easily installed to the new heating infrastructure. Working alongside Jtech Services, a suitable heavy duty support system was designed and tested to withstand the loadings. Once approved, Jtech Services utilised their extensive fabrication experience to phase the manufacture and supply to suit the site scheduling requirements

As Air Source Heat Pumps become used more often to heat homes, there is a need to protect and enclose any exposed pipework.

The Air Source Heat Pump Enclosure System from Jtech Services provides protection to any external pipework and junction valves. Designed to be adaptable to each application means that the system will be suitable for any situation.

Following the installation of the mechanical and electrical services package a site measure is taken and detailed drawings made for the client to assess before manufacture. Once approved, manufactured, and delivered it is a straightforward process to install.

If required, a client can have insulation added to the enclosure system in a range of thicknesses to suit the specific environmental conditions.

Whilst this project was finished in a standard black powder coat finish, Jtech Services can also offer their systems in a range of other colours that tie in with either new or existing décor.

The Perimeter Casing System from Jtech Services were recently chosen for the refurbishment of a University Physics Department.

Following the installation of the mechanical and electrical services package, Jtech Services installed their casing system within the agreed time frame allowing the floor layers to follow on with a couple of days in hand.

The advantage of the Perimeter Casing System is that, not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it also practical in that it allows good access to the interior heating element for maintenance and cleaning, whilst maintaining outer security through its SKS locking mechanism.

To prepare for the successful install process a precise, site specific measure is taken before manufacture that allows for any restrictions such as internal pipework, valves, or ducting.

Jtech Services have extended the range and style of their Heavy Duty Radiator Guards.

In conversation with our clients, we came to realise that not all applications require the same levels of protection, therefore depending upon the site applications Jtech Services can vary the level of protection that these guards offer to suit the circumstances on site.

Sometimes this includes the use of heavier gauge steel, whereas on other applications all that is required is specially designed internal bracing, whatever is used the aim is for the guards to be robust enough for the situation.

The front opening access panels that feature our SKS locking mechanism for easy authorised access still allow for maintenance and cleaning during their long years of service.

At Jtech Services we appreciate that these circumstances may only be few and far between and so assure our clients that we are happy to service the needs for these ‘specials’, even if it is just a one off.

It is worth noting that along with the standard white powder coat finish, Jtech Services can also offer their guards in a range of other colours that tie in with either new or existing décor or DDA requirements.

Jtech R&P Services have recently completed the first phase of a refurb project to bring an old site office back into use at a project in the Shropshire.

The initial step was to make the method of access to the building safe to use.

Having cleaned the area up, a site measure was taken so that new stair treads could be manufacture. The hand railings were removed and shot blasted, and then powder coated, and the stringers were treated on site and painted.

With the preparation and manufacture complete the stairway was re-assembled with all new fixings .

The result? Good Lines, Neat joints, and a Quality Finish - just what the client was looking for and all within the financial and time frame budget agreed!

Other applications will now be looked at as the company continues to upgrade its on-site facilities.

Jtech Services have recently supplied and installed their Fire Rated Column Casing system to an under-croft car parking project in West Byfleet.

A detailed pre-manufacture measure was undertaken so that installation was straightforward and completed within the time frame required.  Waste was also kept to a minimum as specific lengths were supplied for each area, allowing for the thickness of tarmac that was to be laid before installation, so very little onsite cutting was required. 

The simple design process called for basic information including the steelwork dimensions, the weight of the steelwork, the height, the finish and what rating was required, 30mins, 60mins or 120mins. 

The design of the column casings means that they are straightforward to install, often taking no more than about 10-15 mins, and as they are pre-finished that means that no further work is required other than to peel back the protective layer once the project is ready for handover.

Jtech Services have recently supplied and installed their Aluminium Pipe Boxing system for a rather intricate application at a New Build School project in Macclesfield.

A pre-manufacture site meeting was undertaken to understand the exact requirements for this project and number of options were discussed. Having agreed what was required a detailed measure was then undertaken and the special design of profile was manufactured.

This all contributed to the installation being completed within the time frame required.  Waste was also kept to a minimum as only specific lengths were supplied and very little onsite cutting was required. 

Being so closely involved with the design and manufacture of their Pipe Boxing allows Jtech Services the freedom, should the need arise, to create specific profiles for their client’s requirements.

The close matching of the powder coating allowed the Pipe Boxing to blend in with the surrounding colour scheme to such an extent that it is not always easy to spot where it is!

A full range of accessories are available for all of the Jtech Services profiles including Internal & External Corners, Tee Pieces and Stop Ends.

Aluminium was the clear choice for this particular application, however other materials are readily used depending on the site application.

The need for either a steel or aluminium based pipe boxing system, finished with an FR grade powder coating is becoming more and more apparent as building facility managers and heating & sprinkler system engineers see the need to protect their services from day to day wear.

Jtech Services have recently supplied a specially designed profile to provide protection for some newly installed services at a Central London project.

The Architect came up with an idea of what they would like to see and asked that there be as few fixings as possible. Jtech Services were able to utilise elements of their standard Pipe Boxing design to achieve this, as well as work into the final product other features that had been discussed.

The Installation team commented on how straightforward the product was to put in place, which was accomplished quite efficiently.

The result? Good Lines, Neat joints and a quality finish - just what the client required!

A powder coated steel profile was used for this particular application, however other materials can be used to create a Jtech Services profile, from steel and aluminium through to GRP, the client just needs to opt for what suits their application the best.

Jtech Services have recently supplied and installed a hospital outpatients department with their Low Surface Temperature Radiator Guards and Pipe Boxing systems.

The guards are designed to give easy access for cleaning and maintenance during their long years of service. Each guard features our SKS locking mechanism for straightforward, authorised access.

Most applications for the Jtech Services Radiator Guards and Pipe Boxing range require that they are manufactured in steel, however some situations such as wet rooms and the like require the use of aluminium. Other materials can also be used if the interior design requires it.

Interlocking Flooring from Jtech Services

Jtech R&P Services have recently completed the installation of a pvc interlocking flooring system to create a walkway in a Goods Inward area for one of their industrial clients.

The flooring material has proven over the years to be hardwearing, tough and easy to maintain, whilst coping with the rigours of practically any industrial setting.

Unlike other flooring finishes the tiling system is quickly installed over any hard surface without the need for specialist tools or adhesives and so gives very little interference to the ongoing activities of a factory.

Ideally suited to overlaying existing cracked, brittle or damaged resin flooring, this simple flooring solution is a cost effective way to resolve most flooring problems.

The installation service provided by Jtech R&P Services required intricate cutting around preexisting modular wall support feet as well as creating an angled walkway running parallel with an opposing wall.  To create the finished article ramps leading onto the walkway and edging trims completed the project which was completed on time and within budget.

Aluminium Pipe Boxing from Jtech Services

Jtech Services have recently supplied their Aluminium Pipe Boxing system for a number of tower blocks in London.

A detailed pre-manufacture measure was undertaken so that installation was straightforward and completed within the time frame required.  Waste was also kept to a minimum as specific lengths were supplied for each floor so very little, if any, onsite cutting was required.  

A complimentary range of accessories were also pre-fabricated which allowed the Corners, Tee Pieces and Off Set Units to be offered up into place and fixed straightaway.

Why go for aluminium? Alongside the fact that the powder coated finish was of a FR grade, the need to make sure that there would be no issues from the pipe boxing in the case of a fire in the flats figured highly.  The quality of the product and the ease of installation were also big factors in the decision.

The need for metal based pipe boxing systems, be that steel or aluminium, is becoming more apparent as building facility managers and heating & sprinkler system designers see the need to protect their services in the event of fire.
