Howard Butler Ltd has been manufacturing panel meters, current transformers, relays, transducers and associated products in our UK factory for over 85 years.

Howard Butler Ltd has ISO 9001:2008 approval with a constantly reviewed quality policy. This ensures that through our  vigilance, control, design methods and accountability throughout all stages of design and manufacture quality is designed and built into our products. Our in-house design engineers are able to work with customers to provide custom solutions where our standard product range is not applicable. Our policy is one of continuous improvement, therefore the HOBUT range is regularly added to with new products, mostly designed to IEC, BS, or DIN specifications.

 

We hold extensive stocks of vital components to ensure quick delivery of both standard and special
products. Customer satisfaction is central to the aims of Howard Butler Ltd, with our fully integrated
computer system closely controlling orders, enquiries and stock.

    HOBUT has strengthened its commitment to British Manufacturing through the acquisition of British Core manufacturer Unicores Ltd. https://www.unicoresltd.co.uk

    Unicores Ltd has been manufacturing strip wound cores in various electrical steels for more than 30 years. Its extensive stock holdings, modern production methods and expertise earning it a reputation for quality and precision.

    Its wide product range includes bare cores, rectangular cores, nanocrystalline cores, poly wrapped cores, toroidal cores and more.

    As a key supplier of current transformers worldwide, all manufactured to IS9001:2015, this acquisition will help to ensure the security of HOBUT’s supply chain. This will ensure HOBUT will continue to meet its tight on-time targets -key to customer satisfaction.

    This acquisition comes shortly after significant investment in HOBUT’s Walsall based factory where production facilities have been revamped, and new highly skilled engineers have been acquired.

    HOBUT will continue to invest in British manufacturing and British engineering expertise as we head into 2019.
