  3. An Update On How We Are Dealing With Covid-19
    17 December 2020

We are still operating on a factory floor which has been reorganised in line with government guidelines on social distancing and safe working, and we continue to operate on reduced staffing levels. As a result, the current lead time for all new orders is four weeks from confirmation of order.

On receiving an order, we will firstly acknowledge receipt and then, within two working days, we will provide all pricing details. Once these have been agreed by the customer, the order will be confirmed and from this point we expect to fulfil the order within four weeks.

We are working hard to improve this in the coming weeks, but we want to make customers aware of the additional time required for processing orders in the current circumstances.  We understand this is difficult, but we ask that you build the additional lead time into your planning processes.

We appreciate your efforts in this regard and thank you for your continued support of Bartec Packaging. We remain committed as always to delivering the materials you need to the high standards of quality expected.

  4. Bartec Achieves AA Grade Following BRC Audit
    24 January 2020

Here at Bartec, we’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard’s highest grade, AA, following our recent audit. Bartec has consistently achieved the highest rating since the company was first audited in 2003.

The BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials was designed to assist in the production of safe food packaging materials and the management of product quality.  To achieve the Standard, any packaging company which supplies products for direct food contact must undergo an annual audit of its premises and processes.

The audit focuses on encouraging a whole culture of product safety, from the commitment of senior management to the on-going training and development of all staff, and the maintaining of the strictest hygiene standards throughout all areas of the business.

Our latest audit took place in April and involved a detailed examination of our factory and the ways in which we operate. All our processes, policies and systems were scrutinised closely by the auditors.

Bartec Director, Vanessa Cooper, says: “This has been a real team effort and we are delighted to have once again achieved the highest grading possible for a planned audit.

“Producing packaging for direct food contact demands the most exacting of standards and that is why we continue to invest to ensure that those standards are maintained at all times. This is key to our on-going success and future development.

“Our BRC rating reflects how important it is to us that the correct processes are in place to enable us to deliver the highest quality product and service to all our customers.”
