Mitsubishi MELSERVO J4 series of Servo Drives and motors are generally used in the robotics industry and on machines requiring high dynamic movements. The motors work on the principle of creating a synchronous machine. Allowing control excellent control of position, speed or torque.

All Mitsubishi MELSERVO J4 are equipped by default with a single-turn absolute position encoder. Due to the high encoder resolution of up to 4,194,304 pulses per revolution (22bit), accurate positioning and high speed stability are possible. Coldcurve uses this in controlling the drives and motors to provide the systems required by our costumers where required in their plants and factories. Mitsubishi Servo Amplifiers (for the MELSERVO J4 series) are available with a power output range from 100W up to 22kW.

With their high control of position, speed and torque they can be used in many different aspects of machines and factory control systems. Allowing Coldcurve Ltd. to cover all you factory automation requirements.

Welcome to our first blog post, we hope you enjoy reading it and keeping up to date with what’s going on here at Coldcurve.

May and June were busy months. We were away on a few site visits to the Biosil production plant in Cumbernauld, doing the final work on the Electrical Control Systems for the Dry heat ovens which are used to sterilise Silicone Implants. We have just finished Oven number 8! The beginning of July seen some rare down time for a few of us. Neil was off to Andorra for a holiday and Jonathan went on his much needed, long awaited Honeymoon. Dan and Kirsty made sure things ticked over at HQ.

August has been busy with an OMROM PLC break down at Highland Grain Ltd. Coldcurve to the rescue; we ordered a new part from Holland which missed the plane, resulting in a few days wait for it to be boarded on another flight. It is now installed and up and running just in time for the start of harvest!

We are looking forward to autumn with a few new projects on the cards and finally moving the office out of the back bedroom and into the new purpose built office space.
