PRV Engineering offer an abrasive waterjet cutting service. Our 5 axis waterjet cutting machinery has the capacity to cut virtually any material up to 3000mm x 1700mm x 350mm. Waterjet cutting provides many advantages over alternative cutting methods such as lasers. These include, cold-cutting which results in no heat affected zone (HAZ) and material hardening, Omni-directional cutting, which is the ability to cut in any direction, waterjet operates with a small cutting width (kerf) which results in excellent material utilisation, waterjet also provides a high quality cut finish providing net shape or near net shape parts and so illuminating the requirement from secondary requirements on many applications. Waterjet cutting is particularly 'friendly' to the environment. The process is clean and does not create grindings, chips or hazardous gases and cutting oils are not required.
