Elastometer Bonding
Elastometer bonding is a method specifically for the bonding of materials that have proved impossible to bond using metallic agents and is one of the most commonly employed bonding methods today and is a cost-effective method that bypasses the need for expensive indium. Here at Testborne we can provide Elastometer bonding between materials to your specifications.
The bonding method provides a low cure temperature that reduces internal bond stresses and enables the bonding of materials not previously joined effectively. Targets of up to 120" x 110" have been effectively bonded using this method whilst maintaining flatness.

Mechanical Feedthroughs
Our range of mechanical feedthroughs includes both rotary and linear motion components to handle both high torque and high intensity vacuums. At Testborne we supply high-quality mechanical feedthroughs manufactured by Inficon. Our rotary feedthrough parts include the ISO-KF and ISO-K for the transmission of high torque and the CF range that are bellow-sealed for high vacuum applications.
We can also supply the rotary/linear combined ISO-KF that utilise 2 FPM shaft seals and is fitted with anti-rotation and locking systems, and the linear motion CF for high vacuums and is fitted with a micrometer screw for optimised accuracy.

Rotatable Targets
Rotatable targets contain more material for binding than ordinary planar targets and enable users to carry out longer production runs with greater throughput coating. Typically rotatable targets are used for large area target coating on items such as flat panels and architectural glass. At Testborne we can provide customers with rotatable targets in various sizes and metals.
Our rotatable targets come with diameters of between 2" up to 8.625" and in lengths up to 160". The most commonly employed metals for rotatable targets are chromium, silver, and tin though we can provide targets in many other metals including stainless steel, zinc alloys, and molybdenum.
