    Electrical isolators are used to disconnect or de-energise a circuit to carry out maintenance or checks. They are made up of a metal sleeve placed in the ends of an insulating tube. They can also be used to introduce gas or liquids into a hermetic system. At Testborne we can provide three types of isolator for use with cryogenic, water, or vacuum systems.

    The cryogenic isolator operates at temperatures of up to 450oC, at voltages of up to 13kV, and can be supplied in sizes of 0.11" up to 0.40"; the water isolator works at 5kV, temperatures of up to 100oC and comes in sizes of between 0.32" and 0.57"; and the vacuum isolator operates at up to 75kV, temperatures of between -369oC to 450 oC and can be supplied in sizes of 0.31" up to 8.0".
