Applegate Marketplace is pleased to be supporting a new programme in Northern Devon that is looking to promote and nurture the digital community. The group is working with Tech South West regionally and also TechCity UK to ensure companies in Northern Devon do not go unrecognised. It is far too often the case that the region is overlooked when it comes to Tech and Digital resource and the group has been put together with a view to overcoming obstruction felt by companies in the area. The group also seeks to engage with other Northern Devon business support organisations.
The Launch event for Digital Northern Devon will take place on 11th April 2018 with guest speaker Professor Jim Norton. Professor Norton is an independent director, policy adviser and public speaker, with a number of published papers, articles and reports, most notably for Cabinet Office. In his enlightening presentation, he will discuss issues on eBusiness and eGovernment and the four forces which lead to the perfect storm. This will be followed by the opportunity to put your questions to him.
The event will start with an overview of the digital tech scene in the region followed by the exciting plans for DigitalND - a network to promote and nurture the digital tech community across Northern Devon. This event is free, but please ensure that you book a ticket to secure your place here.
