Intelligence in Business – a debrief.

This week, Applegate hosted a trailblazer event in North Devon – exploring the ways in which businesses can become more ‘intelligent’. We have discovered the things organisations are doing to develop the digital landscape across Devon, the ways in which businesses can recruit for the long term, the role of AI for business, and how procurement can often mean sourcing smarter, I think it is fair to say that there is no one thing that will see businesses becoming more productive, efficient, sustainable, responsible or; indeed – ‘intelligent’.

As part of this event, Applegate conducted small purchasing reviews for many the organisations in attendance – from Web Design to Promotional Merchandise and Mail Fulfilment to Office Furniture. In total, we found potential savings in excess of £35,000. Moreover, we provided Applegate Suppliers with further opportunities to quote on work for charities, transnational corporations, SMEs and others. We are very pleased with the relationships that have been built as a direct result of this event.

We would like to thank our speakers and panellists:

Paula Byers, Chair, Digital Northern Devon.

Stephen Roberts, CEO, North Devon Hospice.

Rozz Algar, Assistant Principal Commercial, Petroc.

Stuart Brocklehurst, CEO, Applegate.

This trailblazer is just another example of the work we are doing regionally to support organisations in their digital, purchasing and technological capabilities; supporting our proactive approach to making introductions to suppliers.
