Applegate Marketplace will showcase Applegate PRO, its new eProcurement tool on 7-9th June, during Subcon 2016, the UK’s premier manufacturing supply chain show at the NEC in Birmingham.

The online buying tool, launched in March, streamlines the request for quotation (RFQ) and purchase order processes that can take businesses hours or even days, into a quick and easy function, taking minutes. Each RFQ raised in Q1 had an average value of £19,272,69, equating to over £8 million.

The Applegate Sourcing Team can provide professional buyers with competitive quotes from up to ten suppliers within 48 hours.

Since it went live in January, Applegate PRO has attracted buyers ranging from the Cabinet Office, Airbus, the MoD, BAE Systems and SpaceX.

Applegate Marketplace CEO, Stuart Brocklehurst, commented: “We are delighted with how Applegate PRO has gained momentum in the first quarter of 2016. To have prestigious organisations, governments and businesses using this tool gives a positive indication of the potential for the service. We have several key developments planned later this year and believe this is just the start.”
