JTECH Communications Inc. was launched in the USA in 1988 by David Miller, a restaurateur frustrated with long customer queues and communications between his kitchen and front of house staff at his busy waterside restaurant, Mr. Laff's in Florida. He and his partner invented the WaiterCall and CustomerCall systems and quickly became a supplier of theses revolutionary restaurant paging systems throughout the world.
In 1995, Peter Hutchinson was tasked with opening the JTECH Communications UK office to meet the growing demand from the European market. Following 5 years of rapid growth and calls for more innovative wireless and paging products, Peter and his key partners negotiated a successful management buyout and re-branded as Call-Systems Technology Limited (CST).
As well as becoming the official European Distributor for JTECH products, CST invested heavily in new and unique products for current customers and different industries. This included a low-cost professional two-way radio, PC paging software, the highly successful TableCall system and the ResPAK restaurant and conference management system, to name but a few.
Today, Call-Systems Technology is based in London, UK and is a communications partner to over 10,000 system users, from independent hospitality and leisure venues to global retail and manufacturing companies. International sales and marketing operations are co-ordinated via a network of approved European and Middle East dealers including Ireland, France, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Spain and Israel. Global partnerships include JTECH Asia/Australia, JTECH Latin America and JTECH USA, recently acquired by the global EPOS provider Micros.
