Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd specialises in developing, manufacturing and marketing innovative, reliable and cost-effective flammable and toxic gas detection equipment. The company was formed in 1970 and has constantly led the field with products designed for safety and environmental monitoring needs.

The Crowcon range includes: 

• portable personal monitors, used widely in confined space entry or certifying areas are gas free and safe to work in; 
• fixed detectors and controllers, used in applications ranging from laboratories and chemical plants to boiler rooms and car parks
• portable leak detection monitors, ranging from units for domestic appliance servicing to gas distribution network surveys, either at point of leak or from a distance of up to 100m (allowing surveying of raised pipes or in those in accessible areas such as viaducts or fenced off locations)
• portable flue gas analysers, used during installation and servicing of domestic boilers and promoted under the Telegan brand.
