Webbing & Lashings

Non-metallic airborne and shipborne lashings are used for general purpose cargo applications and more specialised heavy load securing. Manufactured from tough high endurance Polyester/Nylon webbing, standard off-the-shelf designs have rated working loads of between 3000lbs – 10000lbs with tensioning options to include ratchet stops, quick action toggles and one way & over-centre buckles. At the specialist end of its range Drallim produces two mooring, aircraft tie downs capable of securing light – heavy class rotary platforms to the deck link fittings on board sea going vessels.

Quick Release Couplings

Quick Release Couplings are regularly used to secure embarked aviation as well as for various alternative and demanding applications, where secure load restraints is critical to mission success. Options include the standard QRC, and the Anti-vibration model. The design allows the user to release tension in the coupling whilst fully restrained allowing the load to be quickly freed for movement or deployment. The Quick Release Coupling is suitable for all rugged cargo applications in both the Marine and Aviation environment offering load capacities of 10,000lb and 14,000lb in either standard or in ‘anti-vibration’ configurations.

The original Quick Release Coupling is used in conjunction with CSK843 chains (chain size 7.1 (9/32") to secure and restrain aircraft and pallets being transported by ship, road, rail and air. Only the correct size of chain should be used with the QRC.

Heavy Duty Restraint

Quick Release Couplings are regularly used to secure embarked aviation as well as for various alternative and demanding applications, where secure load restraints is critical to mission success. Options include the standard QRC, Extended claw QRC and the Anti-vibration model. Traditionally used for aircraft mooring on board ship, the quick release quality of the restraint also make it ideal for use to secure vehicles and other heavy loads.

Rotary Selector Valve

Unique configurable fluid control valve originally launched in 1958, this ground breaking device still remains in demand today and can be found globally throughout a vast range of industries covering petrochemical process plants and nuclear power stations to military and aerospace applications.

The RSV is a Fluid Control Valve that is Suitable For Air/Gases/Vapours and other Liquids, Pressure range –1 +10 Bar, Fluid Temperature 85°C (185°F) Available in Brass and Stainless Steel, with Fluoro-Elastomer Seals and PTFE or ACETAL Resin Stems, depending on the nature of the fluid or gas being used. Some typical uses of the RSV in the process Industry for example would be: Partial Stroke Testing (LMT or Limited Movement Testing) Water treatment/polishing plant for nuclear power generation, Pneumatic actuator override panels, Bypass systems for isolation & diversion of flows, Used for flow diversion within pressurised cable systems. Fuel Systems: Military Vehicles:- Example: Tank Ventilation Systems, Aerospace - Ground Test Equipment for Altimeters and Airspeed Indicators, Hydraulic Isolation - Low Pressure, High Voltage Cables, Gas Analysis Test Sets, Purge & Leak Test Set-Boats/Submarines NASA - White Sands Test facility.

Benefits: Eliminates Cross Port Leakage, Each Port Seals Individually, Lower Cost Than Multi-Port Ball Valves, Electrical Switching Options, Caters for very complex configurations.

Drallim Telecommunications

Drallim Telecom has been a long established supplier of cable pressurisation equipment to the telecommunication and broadcast industry. Today's lifestyle demands good communications. Drallim dehydrators are working in the background, helping to provide a clear signal on Copper Cable Networks, Waveguides, Radar & Broadcast Antenna’s worldwide.

Microwave links continue to provide a vital element of any modern communications and here again Drallim are in the forefront of dry air technology providing their range of Waveguide Dehydrators for use in base station systems to integrators around the globe.

Condition monitoring is also important on communication networks and Drallim can offer its AIRMON system which monitors cable pressure. Dry air compressed into a copper cable will protect the copper from the potential ingress of moisture, improving reliability and clarity, and reducing long-term costs. This is especially important where widespread adoption of broadband services requires optimum cable performance. This pressure can provide an additional facility of allowing maintenance engineers to predict and locate potential faults by identifying holes in the cable sheathing. The AIRMON system will alert the user of High, Low and Trend Alarms with the added feature of analysis and diagnostics.

We have built a reputation over 60 years for quality, innovation and product durability, coupled with a talent to construct integral solutions, provide on-site installation service skills as well as reliable post-delivery support services. We can also combine our expertise in software, electrical/electronic design and mechanical packaging to provide unique solutions for our global customers.
