Specialising in illustrated non-fiction and children’s picture books, we publish a wide variety of titles covering gardening, cookery, interior design, architecture and the built environment, the natural world, walking and climbing, and art. Leading authors include A.Wainwright, Charles Jencks, Penelope Hobhouse and the Duchess of Devonshire. We also publish a variety of diaries and address books in conjunction with the RHS, The Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Library and the National Railway Museum. We also handle sales for the American gardening and horticulture publishers Timber Press.

Our children’s list is best known for a wide range of books celebrating cultural diversity, but also includes award-winners such as the very popular Chimp and Zee series by Laurence and Cathy Anholt. In addition we distribute on behalf of a number of other publishers - Piccadilly Press, Barn Owl Books, Tamarind, Allen and Unwin Children's Books, and Boxer Books.
