Hard Anodising Ltd is a private family owned business employing just fewer than fifty people and we own our premises which are continually expanding.
Specialising in the hard anodising process we also have facility for conventional sulphuric acid anodising, chromic acid anodising, electroless nickel plating, electroless nickel coating and chromium/non-chrominium based conversion coatings on aluminium. We are very experienced in selective plating, coating and anodising, and have developed an armoury of masking techniques over the years.
Electroless nickel plating involves a stand alone chemical process without any electrical current involved. The benefit of electroless nickel plating is that it provides a uniform coating as long as there is a steady supply of plating solution.

Electroless nickel plating will coat the base metal in areas where traditional electrolytic systems fail because the electric field strength may drop. This would happen in areas on the base metal such as features and surface changes.
The electroless nickel plating process produces a hard wearing, corrosion resistant and abrasion resistant surface which also has natural lubricating qualities. Electroless nickel plating looks very similar in appearance to chrome plating or towards silver grey in colour.

Electroless nickel coating is ideal for metal that may not be traditionally covered with other forms of coating. Where the metal comes into contact with the plating solution, as long as there is a steady supply, the metal will be covered.
Electroless nickel coating can be applied to most metals and with the appropriate pre-treatment to plastics they can be coated as well.
Hard anodising provides electrolytically increases in thickness of oxide film on aluminium and its alloys. The hard anodising process gives an optimum technical performance and not necessarily aesthetic feel.
The finish of the hard anodising will then be a grey, yellow or brown tinge according to the alloy and thickness of the coating. We can colour the item with a dyeing process after.
