HOSTI International is the leading manufacturer of disposable cardboard tableware in Europe. At Hosti International, around two billion paper plates and bowls are made every year, of which more than half are made from sustainable raw materials (wood fibre). The product range covers everything from curried sausage dishes and party plates through party collections with serviettes, cups and serving platters to feeding bowls for pets.
The company was founded in 1949 by Emil Stickel as the Hohenloher Papptellerfabrik in Untersöllbach, Neuenstein. In 1953, the company moved to Pfedelbach. Since 1979, the products have been sold under the brand name Hosti. At the end of 1983, production moved to the newly built company premises on Pfedelbach Industrial Estate. In 2002, ISO 9001:2000 quality certification was introduced. In 2003, the company’s name was changed to HOSTI International GmbH. 2006 saw the introduction of ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification. The company founder Emil Stickel, born in Bessarabia in 1918, died on 7 March 2011. In 2012, extension of our FSC certification to 100% pure. In 2014 we celebrated the 65th anniversary of our company.
