Kite Packaging was founded from scratch in 2001 with a unique vision - to be the premier packaging suppliers in the UK with a philosophy of employee-ownership.
At Kite we believe that “customer satisfaction matters so much more when you own the business”, and so, from the moment Kite Packaging was founded, we established it as an employee owned business so that every single employee could share in the benefits that come from giving great customer service.
Kite’s Rotherham branch is the most northerly located branch in the UK. It covers a vast area meeting the Coventry branch at Nottingham, reaching as far as the Scottish borders in the North and spanning the whole of Northern England, from the east to west coast. The branch’s portfolio of customers range from retail to industrial and cover a full range of products including medical, electrical, food produce, clothing and toys. It specialises in offering packaging solutions whilst providing a level of service that is second to none.
Kite Packaging North has grown from strength to strength over the past few years, recently moving premises from Sheffield to a new site in Rotherham; the £1.5 million investment has seen expansion from 20,000 to 30,000 sq. ft. The site includes a fully enclosed yard and further room for stock holding to improve service and delivery for its customers.
The site is overseen by Chris O’Reilly, Managing Partner and has a 22 strong team of employee partners who, because of Kite’s employee-owned philosophy, have a great interest in the service values offered to all of their branch customers. Performance and quality are of major importance to this site and all Kite branches throughout the country.
