Why not let IPS help you realise the full potential of thermoplastics. Design capabilities and technical know-how are complemented by our staff's 30 years of experience in plastics, allowing us to deal with the most exacting applications. We cover a wide varied range of industries, many of which demand ISO 9001 - certification, which IPS have held for over 7 years. We have been established for over 25 years now.
Here at IPS, we are able to offer a great range of services from raw materials to finished components, using Machining, Fabrication, Vacuum Forming, Injection Moulding and Thermoforming.
Advice and design assistance is offered at any stage of the production process, with full technical backing originating from the raw material suppliers, if necessary.
Our range of raw materials is vast and covers numerous industrial materials. Examples include PVC, Polypropylene, Nylons, Acetals, Polyester, Delrin, PTFE, PVDF and many exotic high performance materials (HPMs) such as PEEK, Polysulfone, Vespel, Q200, Polyetherimide and many more....
As with homo Sapiens, plastics come in all shapes, sizes and colours, in rod form, sheet or various types of extrusion. Some materials are available in a vast range, however this is not always the case. Therefore we supply materials for the customer to process, understanding quantity requirements i.e. we don't always expect someone to order a tonne when they only require a kilo.
Industrial Plastic Supplies Ltd can offer the full service from design and manufacture of injection moulding tooling. Through to final manufacture of product.
We were awarded an NLSE e-cat 1 contract with NAMSA (NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency) for the supply of injection moulded mine marker pegs. The contract was awarded on September 7th 2010 and is for a period of five years.
We have and currently supply various companies and industries with injection moulded products.
We manufacture a plastic nail that are the same in design as metal nails. These nails unlike metal nails strengthen in water and do not rust. They can be used in softwood i.e. pine, but not hardwood. Once in wood these nails can be planed down. They are great for holding netting and mesh down in the garden and are easier to find because of the colour than usual nails. They are very good at holding up nesting boxes and bird houses on trees as they strengthen in wet conditions unlike metal nails that rust.
The nails are made out of a plastic material called glass filled polyamide. This material exhibits the following properties:
High stiffness and strength
Dimensional stability and low warpage
Good chemical resistance
The plastic nails are available as standard in the following sizes.
25mm - 2.9mm diameter
30mm - 2.9mm diameter
32mm - 2.9mm diameter
40mm - 3.5mm diameter
50mm - 3.8mm diameter
60mm - 3.8mm diameter
65mm - 3.9mm diameter
75mm - 4.4mm diameter
There are also clout nails available in the following sizes:
The plastic nails are available in the following colours:
We can produce to order any size nails in any colour. (Diameters cannot be very small though). Please contact us with your specific requirement.
