Drinking fountains, or water fountains as they are also commonly known provide drinking water in public places, either outdoors or in public buildings. They consist of a tap and a basin and are normally plumbed into the mains water supply and made from robust stainless steel or food grade materials. Drinking fountains and come in a range of sizes to accommodate all users, for instance, lower fountains for children in schools and those that allow disabled access. Fountains are also available with built-in cooling systems to and water filters to remove any impurities from the water supply and are supplied in standing or wall mounted models.
