Griddles

A griddle is a cooking device that consists of a flat surface heated by either electricity, gas, wood, coal or other applications. Usually a griddle is made of wrought or cast wrought iron, carbon steel or aluminium. Griddles come in many types but the most common commercial ones are free-standing and fit on a countertop equipment. However, griddles for restaurants (commonly called restaurant range griddles) can measure up to 72 inches. Griddles are commonly used to make breakfast food like pancakes, French toast and bacon because they cook quickly and evenly. This makes them popular in restaurants, hotels and cafes.
