Chefs Knives

Chef’s knives, often called cook’s knives, are cutting tools used in food preparation. Historically, the original chef’s knife was used to disjoint cuts of beef but these days, chef’s knives have a wide range of functions and are estimated to undertaken 90% of all food cutting preparation. Chef’s knives are categorised by the cut with the most common chef’s knives being; Double grind, V-shaped, with a single or double bevel, convex edge, hollow-ground, single grind or chisel edge. Chef’s knives are used by chefs in all kitchen types, including kitchens in hotels, restaurants, delicatessens, snack bars, universities, schools, care homes and pizzerias.
