Cash Registers

A cash register is commonly referred to as a till and is a mechanical or electronic device which registers and calculates transaction at the point of sale. Most cash registers have a drawer for storing cash and a receipt printing facility. Cash registers come with many add on features which are specific to different businesses, for example a cash register with an EPOS system is imperative for a supermarket which needs quick replenishment. Similarly, a supermarket might look for a cash register with a scanner, while a bar till might just need the facility to hand cash only and doesn’t need a linked-up credit card terminal. Cash registers are used in all manner of businesses including bars, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs.
