Desktop Computers

Desktop computers as the name suggests are designed to be used at a single location which is often a desk or table in an office, home or classroom. Desktop computers were the first types of personal computers which were developed and marketed in 1980s and 1990s by leading manufacturers such as IBM, Apple, HP etc. Desktop computers have remained as the main feature of most offices for last three decades and have revolutionised the way in which most businesses work. Desktop computers are typically more advanced than tablets or laptops and are designed for executing more complex functions. A desktop computer consists of several different parts such as a system block which contains CPU, internal disk drive, motherboard, cooling fans. System block is connected to a screen/monitor and input devices such as keyboards, mouse etc. by cables and has its own power supply adapter.
