Firewalls

Firewalls are essential for safety and security of a computer network and are used to deny access to computers which are not a part of a computer network. Firewalls is a generic term used to refer to any software or hardware component which acts as a safety mechanism in a computer network. Firewalls are used for establishing a barrier between a safe internal network such as LAN network used in offices and a presumably unsafe outside network such as Internet. Companies also use firewalls for restricting access to outside websites or other time killing apps which their employees may want to visit. Firewalls are mainly categorized as network firewalls or host based firewalls.
