Desktop Publishing Software

Desktop software is any software that must be installed on a computer, using a DVD, software CD or other media. It can also be downloaded and saved as a file to your computer. Traditionally, the software runs on a Linus, Mac or Windows Desktop that's set up for use in one place, although Laptops also require desktop software as they run on the same operation systems as traditional desktops. Desktop software is fully installed software that doesn’t require a connection to a web browser to run, and there are thousands of products available that fall under this category. Publishing Software, Presentation Software, Design Software, Accounting Software, CAD software, Anti-Virus Software and many other products are available for desktop installation. Desktop Software can be found on every computer, from office applications that deal with day to day administration and accounting tasks, to specialised Design software which handles engineering projects.
