Scales

Scales are used to either calculate mass or measure weight. They work by balancing the force due to gravity against the force on the spring and are commonly used in a wide range of industries to measure compliance. Whereas in a retail environment, scales are used to calculate cost by charging based on weight. Scales are widely used in retail environments to calculate cost, they are commonly found in sweet shops, backers, butchers, fruit and veg shops, green grocers, supermarkets, corner shops and fish mongers.
