Stair Rods

A stair rod is most often used for decorative purposes in the home to hold a carpet or stair runner in place on a staircase. They hold the carpet in place without the need for any type of adhesive, protecting the carpet and flooring surface underneath from damage and meaning that they can be easily removed for cleaning or use elsewhere. Stair rods should fit flush into the crease of the carpet so they don’t cause any risk of trips or falls, and are supplied either in ready cut lengths or can be cut to size during installation. They are available in a range of materials including aluminium, steel, wood and brass. As they are mostly used for aesthetics rather than functional purposes, stair rods are mainly used in home design projects, but can also be found in some public buildings such as hotels.
