Battery Isolation Switches

Battery isolation switches are used to cut a battery life instantly, a function which is totally necessary in the event of an emergency. On top of this, battery isolation switches are used when vehicles are stored and electrical isolation is needed or when the battery has to be removed for whatever reason. Other common uses for battery isolation switches include the direction of power – which is necessary in equipment which runs from multiple batteries. On/off battery switches, cut-off switches, battery master switches and hybrid isolation switch are common types of battery isolation switches. Battery isolations switches are used on recreational vehicles, larger trucks, planes, and boats to dictate which battery performs which function. They are commonly used in motorsports.
