Electric Linear Actuators
Electric Linear Actuators work by converting energy produced by an electric motor into torque which then moves a mechanism. The control system of an actuator can be controlled mechanically, electrically, software driven or operated by a human. Unlike Pneumatic and Hydraulic Actuators, Linear Actuators have great duty cycles and are designed to be robust in a range of operating conditions and are resistant in a wide range of chemicals, dirt, shock, vibration, temperatures and dirt making them versatile in many industries from farming to marine equipment. Linear Actuators are able to perform with high load capacities, aesthetically designed systems and work within high operating speeds mainly applied within the use of machine tools, computer equipment, valves and industrial machinery. Compared to Hydraulic and Pneumatic actuators, the electromechanical device of a linear actuator helps to energy save, reduce noise, and has a higher efficiency rate. Main benefits of using a Linear Actuator include machine productivity, reducing environmental impact, less maintenance, reduces assembly costs and is adaptable to different applications.
