Ploughs

Ploughs are agriculture machines used on farms for soil cultivation in preparation of sow seeding or planting, or to turn and loose soil. Nowadays ploughs are pulled by tractors, though they were traditionally pulled by horses. Ploughs are made from a wide range of materials but are most commonly made from steel, wood or iron. Common types of ploughs include mouldboard, loy plough, heavy plough, single-side plough, turnwrest plough, reversible plough, multi-farrow plough, riding plough, balance plough, stump-jump plough, chisel plough, ridging plough, Scottish hand plough, mole plough, paraplough and spade plough. Ploughs are used by farm workers and farmers to cultivate soil found in farms, fields and large gardens.
