Material Testing Systems

Material testing systems are the term given for complete systems which are used to test products’ performance and quality. They are commonly used in research in development and can range from desk-top devices, like those used in the apparel business, to systems that fill rooms – like those used by the automotive industry. Material testing systems evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and structures using tensile, compression, flexural, fatigue, impact, dynamic, torsional and multi-axial loading. Testing might also include the effect of light and weathering. Industries that use material testing systems include the apparel, energy, and aerospace to mobile hydraulics, biomedical devices and civil engineering.
