Digital Measurement Microscopes

A digital microscope is a digital version of a traditional optical microscope. In a digital microscope, a digital camera is used to output an image to a monitor (usually aided by software via a computer). The digital microscope has the main of advantage of not having to view the sample directly through the eyepiece, meaning several people can observe at once. Digital measurement microscopes ensure the optics are designed for a monitor image, and not by human eye. Digital measurement microscopes are used by those in the fields of science, engineering, metrology, and medicine. However, they are rapidly updated traditional microscopes and are widely used in schools, colleges, and universities.
