Bore Micrometers
Bore micrometers are used to obtain the small measurements, usually on those on cylinders and pipes. They are typically hand-tools and known for their accuracy. A bore micrometer is typically a three-anvil head on a micrometer base used to accurately measure inside diameters to report on size, wear, taper and the roundness or ovalness of a hole (often when used with a bore gauge). Bore micrometers are generally sold per gauges, which the most common being 100, 120, 160, 200, and 250 gauge bores. Bore micrometers are used by those in the fields of aerospace, metrology, automotive, electronics, industrial or medical applications.
