Height Gauges

They are similar to surfaces gauges but a height gauge has a measuring head and a surface gauge just has a scriber point. Height gauges can also be used by doctors and those in similar industries to monitor the height of patients, in which case they are called stadiometers. They can also provide a tool that is connected to a surface plate for measuring parts that are difficult to measure. Depth gauges are used by used by those in the fields of metalworking and metrology to either set or measure vertical distances.
