Steel Rules

A steel ruler is much like a metal ruler, that is used to measure sizes and also to assist in drawing. They are perfect for making low precision measurements manually and are etched with graduations in imperial and metric. Steel rules are available in many different sizes and formats. The most basic measurements of steel rules are Basic 6" and 12", which both come in a flexible and rigid form. Flexible rules are usually 1⁄2" wide and 1/64" thick. Rigid rules are usually 3⁄4" wide and 3/64" thick. Steel rules are used by architects, mechanical engineers, and engineers to assist them in making drawings to scale.
