Handling Equipment

Handling equipment refers to mechanical equipment which is required for handling, moving, transporting, storage, control or protection of materials. There are four major categories of handling equipment, namely transport handling equipment, storage equipment, positioning equipment and unit load formation equipment. Access Platforms, Conveying Systems, Drum Handling Equipment, Forklift Trucks and Attachment etc. are common examples of handling equipment which are used in most industrial, manufacturing, warehouses, cargo or shipping facilities for handling various types of light or heavy equipment. Handling equipment comes in a wide variety and the capacity of a specific equipment will vary greatly from another one. For example, there are forklift trucks with maximum amount of weight carried ranging from few hundreds of kilograms to several tonnes.
