Deburring Machines

Deburring is the process of smoothing and neatening the edges of machined objects to ensure both safe handling and functionality. Traditionally the process of deburring was done by hand, but new advancements in machinery now mean that deburring machines can take all the manual labour of this essential post-machining operation. Types of deburring machines include rotary transfer machines, end deburring machines, flexible deburring cells and single-spindle deburring machines. Each machine works to fulfil the deburring process by using steel or plastic brushes, milling pins, grinding rods, non-woven discs, textile discs and polishing discs. Deburring machines are used in the process of tool, part and component making to smooth and neaten the edges, particularly in metal work.
