Technical Ceramics

Technical ceramics are a material which are favoured for their hardness, stability, heat resistance, inertness to chemicals, bio-compatibility and good electrical properties. In technical ceramics, ceramics tend to be made of crystalline. Technical ceramics can be classified into three categories; oxides, monoxides and composite materials including oxide ceramics, silicate ceramics, piezoceramics. Common types of technical ceramics include insulators, support tubes, protection tubes, radiant tubes, profiles, beams, incineration aids and fabricated components. Because of their strong properties, technical ceramics are used in the industries of aerospace, photovoltaic, thermal processing, medical, electronics, automotive, defence, security, industrial equipment, domestic products, power generation and distribution.
