Argon
Argon is the world’s third most radiant gas and is in group 18 in the periodic table and is produced industrially by the fractional distillation of liquid air. Properties which make Argon so desirable are that is it a cheaper alternative to nitrogen, that is has a low thermal conductivity and electronic properties that are desired for lots of industrial applications. The biggest benefit it Argon’s cost, it is inexpensive since it occurs naturally in air and is readily obtained as a by-product of cryogenic air separation Argo is mostly used in inert shielding gas welding and other high-temperature industrial processes.
