Tin

Tin is a chemical element widely used in alloying (commonly combined with bronze and copper). Tin is a soft, malleable, ductile and highly crystalline silvery-white metal. Tin comes in white or grey form depending on the temperature. White tin is much more useful and more widely used than grey tin. Tin plating is common to protect metals from corrosion and other environmental impacts, and is widely used on iron. It lends itself well to plating due to the fact that is light and easy to melt.
