Taper Pins

Taper pins are fixings that require a reamed hole. Taper pins hold fast and are a highly reliable fixing. They are manufactured in two main types: plain taper pins and extractable taper pins – these come complete with a hole, either tapped or drilled, to the large end of the pin to enable easy extraction from a blind hole. Standard ranges of plain taper pins are available in either a ground or turned finish, with mild steel, high tensile steel and stainless steel being the most common material types. Diameters of plain taper pins go up to 25mm with lengths ranging from 10mm to 200mm. Extractable pins have diameters up to 16mm and lengths between 16mm and 120mm. As taper pins are versatile and come in a variety of sizes, they are suitable for a wide range of applications. They provide fast and secure fixing.
