Rope

A rope is formed with yarns, strands and piles that are bounded together through twisting or braiding into one strong form giving them tensile strength. Ropes are commonly made from nylon, polypropylene, polyester, and natural fibres which each fabric determining the rope’s strength and abrasion resistance. It’s this tensile strength that means ropes can be employed for lifting, pulling and dragging. Common rope types include rock climbing ropes, aerial ropes, braided rope, double braided rope, endless winding rope, kernmantle rope, braid rope and endless winding rope. Ropes are used in many different industries including construction, sports, theatre, seafaring, exploration, and communication.
