Cash Register and Tills

Cash registers and tills are a constant presence in many offices and they are used in almost all supermarkets, fast food joints and other retail establishment where a large part of transactions is conducted via cash. Most cash registers also have calculator mode, automatic VAT calculation ability, multiple programmable departments, price look ups for hundreds or thousands of products and a large cash drawer with multiple coin and notes section. Cash register and tills are extensively used in hospitality, retail and numerous other businesses where the primary method of business is cash. Modern cash registers can connect with a centralized computer which maintains record of all the transactions across various cash tills installed at various point of sales on a companywide level. Cash tills also have a small attached printer which prints the total cost of items purchased by a buyer.
