Imaging Units

Imaging units or drums as they are popularly known are an essential component of laser printers as they play a very important role in laser printing process and no laser printer can function without an Imaging Unit. Imaging units use the simple electric principle of attraction of opposite electric charges for sticking charged toner powder to their surface which then is transferred to paper for creating an image or text. Imaging units complement other parts of a printer such as laser, developer, fuser kits and allow a printer to work seamlessly. Although, most imaging units are designed to print thousands of pages, with wear and tear associated with long term use these needs to be replaced on a regular basis.
