OPC Belts

An OPC belt or Organic Photo Conductor belt is found in a laser printer and it’s primary function is to move the print impression sent from the device you are printing from, to the printers transfer drum. OPC belts will need replacing from time to time and usually, your printer display panel will flash up a message telling you when. OPC belts are specific to printers in much the same way as ink cartridges are, and so when it comes time to replace it a belt that fits that specific printer will need to be sourced. To identify which OPC belt is needed it’s advisable to refer to the user manual that came with the printer. OPC belts are found on laser printers and normally used in offices or by printing services who need to carry out large volumes of day to day printing tasks.
